Fraud Prevention Friday: Do Not Abbreviate 2020

| January 24, 2020

DO NOT Abbreviate the year 2020!

When you abbreviate the new year on official forms and documents, those looking to exploit unsuspecting people can easily manipulate those numbers and leave you potentially vulnerable to fraud.

There are several ways this could pose a problem. Scammers can easily manipulate a document dated 1/1/20 to 1/1/2000 or 1/1/2021.

Be More Healthy, Wealthy and Wise™ and don’t take the shortcut! Proactively protect yourself form fraud using the full date 2020 on all documents.
